York College of Pennsylvania has a rich basketball tradition for a Division III program. And for the upcoming season, Head Coach Jared Wagner is adding a new tool to what has always been a development-first culture.
Division III basketball comes with real constraints. Less time with players. Shorter practice windows. Fewer resources than Division I programs. The programs that consistently get the most out of their athletes in that environment are the ones making every minute count, and making the correct decisions quickly.
"Having PlayerData will give us a level of insight into our players' workload and energy output that we were not able to afford previously," Wagner says. "Being able to track the demands we're putting on each player and use that data to make informed decisions about practice intensity, recovery, and individual development will be extremely valuable.
