STOW, Mass. — August 31, 2026 — Masters Academy International (MAI) today announced a partnership with PlayerData, providing the boys’ and girls’ soccer programs with world-class performance tracking technology utilized by elite athletes across the world. With the agreement, MAI student-athletes, coaches, and training staff will be equipped with PlayerData’s EDGE Air, a FIFA Quality Certified GPS tracker which monitors distance covered, top speeds, speed zones, and other metrics during training sessions and matches.
With the collaboration, the MAI soccer programs join more than 1,500 teams and 100,000 athletes using PlayerData technology to enhance on-field performance. That roster includes the U.S. Soccer National Teams, Crystal Palace, Gotham FC, Atlanta United, and recent NCAA Division I men’s and women’s soccer champions, the University of Washington Huskies and University of North Carolina Tar Heels, respectively.
“Technology and data have become an important part of how athletes train and develop at the highest levels, and we’re committed to providing our student-athletes access to those same tools used at the collegiate and professional levels,” said Micah Hauben, Athletic Director at Masters Academy International. “Incorporating PlayerData into our training and match preparation gives our soccer programs an entirely new level of insight to help evaluate performance and set our athletes up for success.”
Based in Edinburgh, Scotland with North America headquarters in Boston, PlayerData develops wearable performance technology that provides athletes, coaches and performance staff with real-time data and insights to help measure performance, inform training and support athlete development.
“We’re ecstatic about this partnership with the Masters Academy in their inaugural year,” said Ben Slingerland, PlayerData’s Head of Commercial for North America. “We believe MAI will become one of the premier sports academies in the northeast prep school space very quickly. To have our platform engrained into the academy’s athlete development ecosystem from day one is very exciting.”
The partnership marks another milestone as MAI continues assembling the people, resources and partnerships necessary to establish premier boys’ and girls’ soccer programs ahead of its inaugural academic year.
